PLANT MEDICINES

CREATING SAFE SPACES
Since ancient times plant medicines have connected us to the world and the world around us, to our ancestors, the cosmos, the Divine, to ourselves and our creator whatever you believe that to be. As we become open portals during our journey, it is important to create a container that is safe and protected.
A space can be protected by ensuring measures are taken- such as: energetically, physically, emotionally and mentally clearing a space- this can be done with many different tools such as “smudging” the areas with the smoke of sacred herbs such as “: Sage, Copal, Palo Santo etc.
The shaman/ medicine keeper will Create a very open and safe space by setting up an altar, blessing the space and offering their prayers to the spirits. He or she may also may also protect the energy of the space by filling the room, and blowing onto the crown of each participant, a form of sacred tobacco called “mapacho.”
Each Medicine giver will have their own protection method but we have full trust in each of the chosen guides we have chosen for your experience. As facilitators we will make certain that the space is comfortable, relaxing and set up in a way that everything you need is accessible. This will ensure that your process is as smooth as possible.

In its native habitat it grows at altitudes of 6,600 – 9,800 feet. This cactus is found in parts of Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina, but is also cultivated in neighboring countries and many other parts of the world. peyote MASTER PLANT
Peyote, or Lophophora williamsii, is a species of spineless cactus that contains the psychedelic chemical mescaline. It has a distinctively small, green, and globular appearance, growing close to the ground without any spines. These “crowns” or “buttons” are traditionally cut from the root of the peyote plant and dried for ceremonial use.
Native to Mexico and the Southwestern US, peyote has long been a focus of Native American and pre-Colombian ceremonial traditions. Its name derives from the Nahuatl (Aztec) term peyotl. Today, it’s also used in other contexts elsewhere, including in meditation and psychotherapy. It also holds the reputation of being the first psychedelic to come to mainstream Western attention.
The effects of peyote are usually felt within 30 minutes to an hour after consumption. At this point, the more subjective, psychological effects take hold, reaching their peak two to four hours after consuming the cactus and gradually declining over the next eight to twelve hours. Growth Peyote ceremonies have long been held as a way to restore the balance between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realms. Outside of its historically sacred context, peyote holds promise for more general personal growth and development.
Benefits of Peyote
A peyote trip is often characterized by personal blessings, healing, and insights, and many people emerge with an awareness of their place in the web of being. Some people who have taken part in peyote ceremonies have found that the experience allows them to confront their own shadow in order to move past it. Beyond the subjective psychological experience, purging is another important aspect of the peyote ceremony and is thought to be useful for dispensing of deeply rooted fears and other negative emotions.
Some people experience a deeply mystical or transcendental state, including clear and connected thought, feelings of oneness and unity, self-realization, and ego death, as well as empathy and euphoria.Visual effects are also common, including color enhancement, visual distortions (such as “melting” or “breathing” environments), geometric patterns, and the appearance of seemingly autonomous entities.
Peyote ceremonies are used to treat a number of psychological, spiritual, and physiological issues. For many, a peyote journey offers deep insight into the self and the universe, giving one a greater sense of connection and spirituality. It’s also known for fostering compassion and gratitude and alleviating psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction. Peyote has also been shown to help people solve problems, access their creativity, be more environmentally conscious, and improve learning. In its original use, the plant medicine was also used to treat a number of ailments, including snake bites, wounds, skin conditions, and general pain.
ayahuasca MASTER PLANT
This drink was used for spiritual and religious purposes by ancient Amazonian tribes and is still used as a sacred beverage by some religious communities in Brazil and North America, including the Santo Daime. It is a brew made from the leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, and depending on it's maker many other natural ingredients. The main ingredients of Ayahuasca — Banisteriopsis caapi and Psychotria viridis both have hallucinogenic properties. Psychotria viridis contains N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a psychedelic substance that occurs naturally in the plant.
DMT is a powerful hallucinogenic chemical. However, it has low bioavailability, as it gets rapidly broken down by enzymes called monoamine oxidases (MAOs) in your liver and gastrointestinal tract. For this reason, DMT must be combined with something containing MAO inhibitors (MAOIs), which allow DMT to take effect. Banisteriopsis caapi contains potent MAOIs called β-carbolines, which also have psychoactive effects of their own. When combined, these two plants form a powerful psychedelic brew that affects the central nervous system, leading to an altered state of consciousness that can include hallucinations, out-of-body experiences, and euphoria.
Benefits of Ayahuasca
This sacred medicine is an opportunity for those who seek a way to open their minds, heal from past traumas, or simply experience an Ayahuasca journey. It can heal many physical and emotional imbalances including addictions and anxiety and depression as it deeply cleans and purifies the mind and body. The root cause of most depression is a lack of spiritual connection or meaning in peoples lives, a problem that is sadly so prevalent in the conditioned western society. By reconnecting us with the spirit world, and our true self, Ayahuasca helps to heal us of the sadness and despair that afflict so many of our lives..
Other benefits that may be awakened in you on your journey with this medicine include- Gratitude and a deeper appreciation of life, a more profound understanding of yourself, experience higher levels on consciousness, tap into or enhance your creativity, find your purpose in this life, cultivate a deeper connection to nature, freedom from conditioning and overcoming fear.
Preparation
The earlier you begin preparing for ayahuasca the more pleasant and productive your time with the medicine will be. The concept is simple: The cleaner your body and mind are when you arrive, the less work ayahuasca has to do before it can show you the good stuff. We strongly recommend you begin preparation at least 1 week ahead of time to make this experience smooth and beneficial for yourself.

mushrooms MASTER PLANT
Psychoactive mushrooms have been used for thousands of years and have a long history of both medicinal and ceremonial use among indigenous peoples in many parts of the world, including Europe and the Americas. Psilocybin is known for its profound changes in consciousness and perception. Psilocybin’s effects last around 4-6 hours, with peak effects occurring 2-3 hours after ingestion.
In the original study, published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, psilocybin produced immediate, substantial, and sustained improvements in anxiety and depression and led to decreases in cancer-related demoralization and hopelessness, improved spiritual well being, and increased quality of life. At the final 6.5-month follow-up assessment, psilocybin was associated with enduring antianxiety and antidepressant effects. Approximately 60 to 80 percent of participants continued with clinically significant reductions in depression or anxiety, sustained benefits in existential distress and quality of life, and improved attitudes toward death.
Benefits of Mushrooms
Indigenous use of psilocybin dates back to thousands of years . Exploring the benefits of this medicine on a micro and macro level will help us closer to understand ourselves in a deeper way and bring us closer to our true nature.
bufo
Bufo alvarius is a semi-aquatic amphibian that lives in the Sonoran desert of Mexico.
The neurotransmitter molecule is called Bufotenin. It is collected from the toad’s skin, without causing any damage to it. The liquid is then dried. Once crystallized, the effect on the psyche begins. People who have consumed this medicine claim that it produces an oniric-like effect. You awaken from a dream after having a kind of revelation. The ‘Toad of Dawn,” as it is also known, expels 5-meO-DMT from its skin.
It can enable us to go very deep into Introspection. It is in this state we are able to connect to the subconscious part of our mind. The medicine can create a kind of mental evolution. A short moment of death and rebirth.
Benefits of Bufo
One of the most transcendental experiences. Other effects of this medicine just after a single-use, has been proven to cured anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and provided an overall sustained enhancement of satisfaction with life.

Integration is an extremely important part of pre and post journeying. To facilitate this we will have sharing circles, intention setting meditations, one on one check-ins with our trained facilitators, preparing mentally and emotionally.
And to physically prepare you, we will have special diets created to enable the medicines to work at their greatest potential. Post ceremony will follow a similar structure, with check ins, guidance on how to integrate whatever emotions, insights, silent reflection periods and a safe comfortable space to Integrate your ceremony. This helps us to settle back in reality and ground after such a potent experience.
We are very passionate about making sure preparation and integration is taken seriously and is seen just as important as the ceremony itself. It is in these moments of reflection that we can understand deeply how we need to use the lessons and teachings that came through our ceremony and apply them to our immediate lives to create a healing that is long lasting and sustainable.
